There are many things (aka frameworks, methodologies, good practices, etc.) in Product Development that are like sex in high school: everybody is talking about it, but nobody is doing it. The original “thing” that was classified like sex in high school was A/B testing.
Say whhatttt?
Yep! Here’s what I’ve seen and heard in Product Development is like sex in high school, all presented in Seth Godin style and in no particular order:
Doing QA testing is like sex in high school
Doing customer development/interviews is like sex in high school
Being Lean and/or building MVPs is like sex in high school
Being Agile is like sex in high school
Being data-driven is like sex in high school
Focusing on what’s best for the customer is like sex in high school
Doing Competitive intelligence is like sex in high school
Taking risks and innovating is like sex in high school
Usability testing is like sex in high school
and of course A/B testing is like sex in high school (of course)
Is there anything else you think is like sex in high school?
